Lesson Learned

by יצחק קלפטר

he broke my heart
and now it's raining
just don't rub it in
I'm at your door
I feel so crazy bout'
you say I told you so
you saw it long ago
you knew he had to go
I finally came around
I'm back on solid ground
can't let it get me down
(2x)
it's alright
it's alright
it's alright
it's alright
yes I was burned but I called it a lesson learned
mistake overturned so I call it a lesson learned
my soul has returned so I call it a lesson learned
another lesson learned
sometimes some lies
can take a minute to fully realize
his tears your eyes
30 seconds to apoligize
you give him one more chance
just like the time before
but he already knows
you'd give a hundred more
until that night in bed
you wake up in a sweat
you're racing to the door
can't take it anymore
I was burned but I call it a lesson learned
mistakes overturned so I call it lesson learned
my soul has returned so I call it a lesson learned
another lesson learned....
life perfect, aint perfect
if you don't know what the struggles for
falling down ain't falling down
if you don't cry when you hit the floor
it's called the past 'cause im getting past
and I ain't nothing like I was before
you ought to see me now
yes I was burned but I call it a lesson learned
mistake overturned so I call it lesson learned
my soul has returned so I call it a lesson learned
another lesson learned....

Lesson Learned

by Leave's Eyes

it's six in the morning,
you still haven't slept yet
you're tired from all yesterday,
but all you can do is
just try to wake up
and prepare for what tomorrow will bring,
it's cold out it's raining,
no one to complain
just wishing the time will go by
sitting here anxious a touch too ambitious
so tell me what time do we end
this on going process
cuz someday you'll have to begin,
working your ass off while they sit relaxing
do the same thing day after day
working only cuz i do it the right way
and soon these things will change
you lost all you live in the world underneath
[repeat]
woke up this morning
you realized it's ok
you're taking some time to just look at the sky
the sun is still shining,
i realize that life isn't working from 6
and not thinking twice,
you still got your brain and
you still got your life,
but your running out of things all the time
misunderstaments about how we live
running around all the time
one day these thoughts will come together,
one day this shit will work out fine.
it's just like they said it, but it seems like forever,
yes i'm distorted a blur in your mind,
and the ever race you run, it's only with yourself.
overcome the obstacles you just you need you,
nobody else

Lesson Learned

by The Alan Parsons Project

Lately we haven't had a chance to speak
cus you really aint had no time for me
maybe there's somewhere else you'd rather be
and I don't understand it at all
if I recall I gave you everything
but I can't remember one time you sacrificed for me
And I'm starting to feel like im losing myself
so I think that I'll just live with whats left
(Chorus)
Why did you treat me like the girl on the side?
why did you have to go and make me cry?
boy tell me, you could have walked away
rather than cause me pain
baby I ain't really need it at all
and I can't make you love me, (so I ain't trying that)
you wont make a fool of me (so you can forget that)
but I will remain a lady thats how my mama raised me
take the stripes that I've earned a lesson learned
Verse 2
Why did you have to go and lie to me?
when you were out there running in the streets
well I'm tired calling your cellphone,
4 o'clock in the morning you pick it up and all I hear is ...
If I was too much woman all you had to say was
that you wasn't ready and I would've understood
well let me calm down, why should I be mad when honestly it aint something you're stressin' bout
Verse 3
Gave so many chances you blew it over again
Time and time I wonder why you put me after your friends?
you couldn't tell me the real? boy do you know how it feels?
when I call your phone and you don't call back?
I know you can't be for real uh uh
So I pack my bags
and ain't coming back
treat me like I don't know you what part of the game is that?
Boy I ain't turning around this is no place for me to be
you never meant enough for me
Chorus
He broke my heart
and now it’s raining
Just don’t rub it in
I’m at your door
I feel so crazy bout’ it
You say I told you so
You saw it long ago
You knew he had to go

Lesson Learned

by KJ-52

Well the truth it fell so heavy
Like a hammer through the room
That I could choose another over her
You always said I was an actor, baby
Guess in truth you thought me just amateur
That you never saw the signs
That you never lost your grip
Oh, come on now
That's such a childish claim
Now I wear the brand of traitor
Don't it seem a bit absurd
When it's clear I was so obviously framed
When it's clear I was so obviously framed
Now you act so surprised
To hear what you already know
And all you really had to do was ask
I'd have told you straight away
All those lies were truth
And all that was false was fact
Now you hold me close and hard
But I was like a statue at most
Refusing to acknowledge you'd been hurt
Now you're clawing at my throat
And you're crying all is lost
But your tears they felt so hot upon my shirt
But your tears they felt so hot upon my shirt
Well the truth it fell so heavy
Like a hammer through the room
That I could choose another over her
You always said I was an actor, baby
Guess in truth you thought me just an amateur
Was it you who told me once
Now looking back it seems so real
That all our mistakes are merely grist for the mill
So why is it now after I had my fill
That you steal from me the sorrow that I've earned
Shall we call this a lesson learned?
Shall we call this a lesson learned?

Just another lesson learned
Wear a scar, abore repeating
Take a simple fateful turn
Opened up to stop the bleeding
Feeling like you're never could
Been the disconnected frying
Hit the vein & struck a nerve
Seeing through a self that's blinding
Nowhere to buy in
Most of us hiding
Others are shining
Just another brick you toss
Stone the number one deceiver
Multiply the added cost
Easy to become a believer

Feeling like you never could
Been the disconnected frying
Hit the vein & struck a nerve
Seeing through a self that's blinding
Nowhere to buy in
Most of us hiding
Others are shining
You know when you find it
In your darkest hour, you strike gold
A thought clicks, not the be-all end-all (x2)
Just another lesson learned, yea
(Guitar solo)
You know when you find it
In your darkest hour, you strike gold
A thought clicks, not the be-all end-all (x2)
Just another lesson learned, yea
Just another lesson learned
