The Fox

by Tool

On the day the duck was born
The fox was watching all along
He said,
Land Ho!
(when he saw the duck)
Land Ho!
(and the duck saw him too)
'Shiny Pretty Fox' thought the duck
The duck came up onto the land
The fox just watching and he just laughed
I could show you some shiny tricks, he said
Come along we'll get our kicks, he said
Land Ho!
(for shiny tricks)
Land Ho!
(for me)
Oh Fox! Is this love?
Can you tell me? What is love?
That good looking fox only knew one trick
He could break hearts just lickety-split
The duck knew this game she had to quit
And her own pond she was headed to quick
I'll go
I'll go
and there's no looking back
Goodbye little fox

The Fox

by Disney

The fox, the fox
Lied
Eyes on the wrong prize
The fox, the fox
Lied
Fox eyes on the wrong prize
We're in a different war
With ourselves, and with some of you
So many things that don't hold true
With the fear that dims our light
With the barnacles on our right
On the grass, beachy head
On the cliff to which you've been lead
The curve of the hill is green and soft
As if the wind would hold you aloft
Its how you feel to me now, not how you felt
Its how you deal with enwity, not how you dealt
Recognise and send away, set it asail
Serenity inside of me
We're in a different war
With ourselves, and with some of you
So many things that can't be true
On the grassy beachy head
On the cliff where you were lead
The curve, the hill is green and soft
As if the wind would hold you
Serenity inside of me
Set it asail
But you'll sail alone
If you don't hold the rope
You'll go alone

The Fox

by Neil Young

The Fox went out on a chilly night
He prayed for the moon to give him light
For he had many a mile to go that night
Before he reached the town-o, town-o, town-o
He had many a mile to go that night
Before he reached the town-o
He ran till he came to the farmers pen
The ducks and the geese were kept therein
He said a couple of you are gonna grease my chin
Before I leave this town-o, town-o, town-o
A couple of you are gonna grease my chin
Before I leave this town-o
[BRIDGE (Mandolin)]
He grabbed the great goose by the neck
He threw a duck across his back
And he didn't mind the quack, quack
And the legs all danglin' down-o, down-o, down-o
He didn't mind the quack, quack
And the legs all danglin' down-o
Well the old gray Woman jumped out of bed
Out of the window she popped her head
Cryin' John, John the great goose is gone
The Fox is on the town-o, town-o, town-o
John, John the great goose is gone
And the Fox is on the town-o
[BRIDGE (Fiddle)]
He ran till he came to his nice warm den
And there were the little ones 8, 9, 10
Sayin' Daddy, Daddy better go back again
It must be a mighty fine town-o, town-o, town-o
Daddy, Daddy go back again
For it must be a mighty fine town-o
The Fox and his Wife, without any strife
They cut up the goose with a fork and a knife
And they never had such a supper in their life
And the little ones chewed on the bones-o, bones-o, bones-o
They never had such a supper in their life
And the little ones chewed on the bones
Being wiry and thinking loudly
About the things sent to make you move
You can't help it, there's no one in the world
Knows you just, just the way you do
So we keep darting through the holes
As the hunter and the fox
Run the gauntlet's savage road
Winter's heavy and partly cloudy
And the snowfall leaves the tracks that catch a few
Bit if you're wiley, you will leave them lying
Snared up in the traps that they set for you
And it's an evergreen affair
As temptation taunts the fox
Into the hunter's waiting lair
And for mile after mile you'll never see me tire
You'll never see me slow down, for a while
'Cause I am the fox, like it or not
I'm always gonna be there running over the rock
Yes I am the fox, a fascinating cross
Of sharp as a whip and tough as an ox
Yes I am the fox
It may sound crazy but it's often lonely
And the restless heart should be captured once in a while
Then you can use them, and you often fool them
Into believing whatever you desire
So I'll keep moving through the night
The hunter and the hunted
On their designated flights
